The Kick-off of the <\/span>Marchesini Group MBA – II edition<\/b> took place on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th January in the Aula Magna of <\/span>Villa Guastavillani. <\/b>The custom program of BBS has been developed in collaboration with <\/span>Marchesini Group<\/b>, one of the most innovative companies in the country, excellence of Emilia-Romagna packaging valley, and is focused on the growth of the company\u2019s people.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event took place in the presence of the Dean of BBS, <\/span>Max Bergami<\/b>, of <\/span>Alessandro Grandi<\/b>, Professor of Management Engineering and Scientific Director of the Master, and of Marchesini Group management: <\/span>Maurizio Marchesini<\/b>, <\/span>Marco<\/b> Marchesini<\/b>, <\/span>Pietro Cassani <\/b>and <\/span>Valentina Marchesini<\/b>, respectively Chairman, Industrial Director, CEO and HR Manager.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Marchesin\"<\/p>\n

The Marchesini Group MBA was born from the vision of a company at the forefront of <\/span>automation and robotics<\/b> in pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging, which continues to invest in people and talent, with its eyes on <\/span>industry 4.0<\/b>. The protagonists are <\/span>34 employees<\/b>, with different roles within the Group, who presented themselves one by one on Friday, immediately after the welcome by Dean Bergami, who opened the kick-off by recalling how the Master is “a challenging and <\/span>interdisciplinary<\/b> path, which the School has developed for you together with the company, but which today becomes yours”.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Dean compared the participants to the <\/span>drivers<\/b> behind the wheel of a racing car. BBS and Marchesini Group will be like good mechanics and will support each student-driver, but, as Bergami pointed out, \u201cno one can drive in your place\u201d. The Dean then explored a topic issue in Bologna Business School, which is that of <\/span>interdisciplinarity<\/b>: a real challenge for anyone, even for teachers, but in particular for those who come from the industry, which, by its nature, requires some <\/span>specialization<\/b>. \u201cWhat we will try to do is help you <\/span>analyze each problem from many points of view<\/b>, which is the key to doing something that at the Marchesini Group you know how to do very well: <\/span>innovation<\/b>\u201d. In fact, as Dean Bergami explained, “innovation is not something static, but it <\/span>moves<\/b> and <\/span>changes<\/b> constantly, soliciting <\/span>new ideas<\/b> and new perspectives to solve new problems”. Finally, a wish, in the sign of<\/span> growth and change<\/b>: \u201cWith you, the first Master to start in 2022, I sincerely hope to have the last session across the street: in the <\/span>new BBS Campus<\/b> currently under construction”.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Marchesini3\"<\/p>\n

Maurizio Marchesini,<\/b> Chairman of Marchesini Group, also spoke about <\/span>innovation<\/b> and the importance of developing a <\/span>new capacity for vision, <\/b>wide and open to the world. \u201cWe have promoted this path, aware of asking you for a great commitment\u201d, said the Chairman, \u201cAnd we did it for two reasons: the first is that <\/span>we need to grow <\/b>and to do that we need <\/span>people<\/b> who have the desire to commit themselves. The second is that we live in a world that is <\/span>changing<\/b> almost wildly. The pandemic has made a difference, transforming <\/span>technologies<\/b> and the way we relate to the world. In this context, it is necessary to <\/span>be ready for change<\/b> and to acquire <\/span>new skills<\/b>, including self-confidence and the will to reach <\/span>new goals<\/b>“.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marco Marchesini <\/b>also underlined how the purpose of the Programme is to offer the people of the company a <\/span>new opportunity<\/b> to seize in order to <\/span>build the future<\/b> “What I expect since it will be a challenging road, is that you are ready to seize all opportunities for growth that this path offers: from the possibility of seeing all aspects of the company to that of <\/span>meeting colleagues<\/b> who have different backgrounds and knowledge”.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Marchesin3\"<\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span>Love what you do<\/b>, within this school, and face the Master\u2019s Program with humility” was the invitation of <\/span>Pietro Cassani<\/b>, who explained that the <\/span>passion<\/b> that this path can generate, is the most important thing, together with the precious lesson of <\/span>humility<\/b> that brings with it the awareness of still having so much to <\/span>learn<\/b>. Because quoting Norberto Bobbio, \u201cCulture means measure, thoughtfulness, circumspection\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Valentina Marchesini<\/b>, as the last speaker of the company, invited the participants to “take this opportunity as an occasion to get out of your comfort zone”. “Be <\/span>curious<\/b>, <\/span>brave<\/b> and <\/span>confident<\/b>“, Marchesini concluded, “We believe in you and we invite you to work hard to find out together what the Marchesini Group of the future will be, opening your mind to <\/span>new solutions<\/b> and <\/span>innovative ideas<\/b>, thus avoiding the risk of becoming self-referential\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alessandro Grandi,<\/b> Scientific Director of the Marchesini Group MBA, closed the introductory session, underlining the importance of <\/span>active participation<\/b> and the focus on teamwork within a path full of new inputs and <\/span>ever-growing opportunities<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first lesson of the Master\u2019s opened indeed on the theme of <\/span>teamwork<\/b>, with <\/span>Massimiliano Ghini<\/b>, teacher of Organizational Behavior at BBS, who, supported on Saturday by <\/span>Davide Calabrese<\/b>, actor, and director, led the newborn team of participants in the phases of <\/span>team building<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
